01 SELLER

Who is selling

Ligature Press is operated from Norway. The registered business identity (legal name, organisation number, address) is being finalised — pending ENK registration with Brønnøysundregistrene — and will be published here the day it is issued. Until then, every question about an order reaches the owner directly at hello@ligature.press.

02 PRODUCT

What you are buying

Every poster is made to order and personalised to the two names you submit. The algorithm composes the artwork; you choose one of the curated colourway and type treatments it offers. Nothing else is editable — there is no design tool, and we do not alter a composition by hand.

Physical prints are fine-art prints on Hahnemühle papers: Photo Rag 308gsm for A4 and A3, German Etching 310gsm for A2 and A1. Each print carries a sequential edition number, assigned in order of payment and never reissued. The digital edition is a download — a wallpaper set and a print-at-home PDF — and the invite PDF is a set of Letter and A6 invitation templates for printing at home; both are licensed for personal use. The price of each product, inclusive of VAT, is shown before you pay.

All prices are shown in euro and include VAT. Shipping is included in the price; there is no separate postage line, and orders delivered within the EU incur no customs or handling fees at the door.

03 PAYMENT

Order and payment

Payment is processed by Mollie's hosted checkout. The contract between you and Ligature Press is concluded when your payment is confirmed; your edition number is assigned at that moment. If an order is paid for a destination we cannot ship to, we do not fulfil it — the payment is refunded.

04 DELIVERY

How it arrives

Physical prints are produced at our print partner's EU facilities and typically arrive within five to ten business days, in unbranded packaging. Digital orders are delivered on your order page — the page you are returned to after payment — as soon as the payment is confirmed. Keep that page's address; it is your download link.

05 WITHDRAWAL

Right of withdrawal

Every poster is made to order and personalised to your two names — it cannot be resold. Under EU consumer law, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised (Consumer Rights Directive, Art. 16(c)). We therefore do not accept returns for change of mind.

For digital orders, delivery begins immediately after payment. At checkout you give your express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once delivery has begun (Art. 16(m)). Without that consent, a digital order cannot be placed.

06 CONFORMITY

If something is wrong

None of the above touches your statutory rights. The EU legal guarantee of conformity applies to every order: if your print arrives damaged, or materially different from what was shown at checkout, write to hello@ligature.press with a photograph and we will arrange a free reprint and reshipment — no return shipping required. Because every composition is stored, the replacement is identical: same composition, same edition number.

07 LICENCE

What is yours

The physical print is yours. The artwork itself — the composition and the method that produced it — remains the copyright of Ligature Press. Digital files are licensed for personal use: print them for yourself, set them as wallpapers, give a print as a gift. Reselling or redistributing the files is not permitted.

08 LAW

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you are a consumer in the EU, nothing here deprives you of the mandatory protections of the law of your own country, including the right to bring a claim before your local courts or consumer authority. If something is wrong, write to hello@ligature.press first — one person reads it, and answers.
